Guest Speakers

To keep the group active over the winter I would like to organise some guest speakers. Rather than hiring in speakers from outside I would like the guest speaker to be JBG members. Some of you have had interesting, amazing and educational experiences working with bats so I think it’s about time we heard about them!
If you would like to be a guest speaker please let me know and I will get the meetings organised – this is also something that I think we could open up to the general public so we are going to need to organise some advertising, so if you don’t want to speak but do have marketing skills then I want to hear from you too!

Ani – I think this is a really great idea. If you need help getting this together i can assist. The large members room at the Societe is a good venue and i think we could get it without too much effort.

Ruari – To add a smiley you do it like you would on an old mobile phone eg : – ) but without the spaces. Not sure if you can do other ones,

Hello, what a great site! My paper on the Galapagos bats was published in Galapagos Research earlier this year, I’m happy to talk about that if you think anyone is interested.

Hi Jill, That would be great. We are going to be starting with a talk on Jersey Bats in a couple of weeks, we are then planning on doing them every month or so over the winter, although if we get alot of volunteers to make them we might do them more often but we only have 5 lined up at the moment, including you. Let me know if there are any particular months which are better or worse for you and I will try and sort the schedule out.
