Meeting
Hi everyone.
We have been asked whether we would like to be part of Durrell Day which is happening on the 14th and 15th of August .
This is a really good oppotunity for us as they are expecting about 5000 visitors per day! There is going to be a dedicated bat area up by the bat tunnel which is going to be one of 5 education zone and obviously we will share this area with Durrell’s one.
I thought it would be really great if as many of us as possible to get together to discuss our ideas and see how many of us will be available to do it. We are also getting a banner made by the lovely Naomi which we will be able to use at all our events, and we’d like as many people to see it / have input into its design as possible so everyone has a part in it!
I am thinking the 21st july provisionally, could you let me know if this is convenient to everyone?
Thanks
Kate
Howard Davis Farm Bat Roost
The bats are back in the roost at Howard Davis Farm, it is quite a large roost so is a good one to visit for anyone that has got abit bored of not seeing any bats!
Donna went to check it out last night and said this:
“I am tres excited as I saw 68 bats coming out the office last night.
I have asked Louise Magris and she is happy for the bat group to visit one night if anyone wants to see what I believe to be a maternity roost (?)…..There is loads of poooooo
)”
If anyone is interested in going up let me know and I will arrange a date or a couple of dates.
Thanks,
