URGENT Volunteers needed!!!
PLEASE NOTE IF WE DON’T GET ANY VOLUNTEERS FOR THIS EVENT OUR SECTION WILL HAVE TO BE CANCELLED!!!!
Volunteers are needed to run the stand at Durrell day on Saturday 14th August and Sunday 15th August as I am out of the island what weekend and Kate has to work, so although she will be at Durrell all day she won’t be able to man the stall the whole time therefore it is essential that we get enough volunteers to cover the whole day! If anyone fancies staying there the whole day that would be good too…
Let me know ASAP if you are available as I am leaving on 9th August so will need to run through the activities we have planned etc with you before I go, please email me on ani_holliland@hotmail.com or send me a text on 07797825570 and I will get back to you as soon as I can (as I have abit of a busy week before I leave).
Thanks,
ani
Howard Davis Farm Bat Roost
The bats are back in the roost at Howard Davis Farm, it is quite a large roost so is a good one to visit for anyone that has got abit bored of not seeing any bats!
Donna went to check it out last night and said this:
“I am tres excited as I saw 68 bats coming out the office last night.
I have asked Louise Magris and she is happy for the bat group to visit one night if anyone wants to see what I believe to be a maternity roost (?)…..There is loads of poooooo
)”
If anyone is interested in going up let me know and I will arrange a date or a couple of dates.
Thanks,
ani

Volunteers needed
Hi All,
As you are probably aware we are going to have a stall at the Spring Watch Wild Day out event at La Braye on Saturday 22nd May.
The event runs from 10am until 4pm and volunteers are needed to attend the stall and organise the children’s activities, I will be there for the majority of the day but it would be great to get a few more people to come along as well. If you are able to attend please let me know what times you can do!
Thanks,

Just a quick reminder that we are holding a training event on Monday 17th May at Durrell.
Meet in the Internation Training Centre lecture theatre at Durrel at 7.30pm for the theory training, this will be followed by the practical training starting at around 8.30pm.
To get to the International Training Centre lecture theatre. Turn off at the entrance just before the Durrell entrance (coming from Trinity) or just after (coming from St Martins), go down the long drive and park where they see other cars, then walk further on down to the buildings at the end.
Hope to see you all there.
