REMINDER
Just a quick reminder that we are holding a training event on Monday 17th May at Durrell.
Meet in the Internation Training Centre lecture theatre at Durrel at 7.30pm for the theory training, this will be followed by the practical training starting at around 8.30pm.
To get to the International Training Centre lecture theatre. Turn off at the entrance just before the Durrell entrance (coming from Trinity) or just after (coming from St Martins), go down the long drive and park where they see other cars, then walk further on down to the buildings at the end.
Hope to see you all there.
Thanks,
ani

MEETING 12th APRIL
We are going to be having a meeting at 7.30pm on Monday 12th April in the large members room at the Societe.
Keeley has decided to step down as treasurer for the group therefore we are taking this opportunity to open up all the commitee roles. If you would like to nominate yourself as Treasurer, Secretary or Chair person please let me know.
It is Jersey law that all charities require a Treasurer, Secretary and Chair person therefore it is very important that we fill these roles.

BAT TALKS
Just a quick Thank You to Ruari for doing the bat talk yesterday!
We had a fairly good turn out at lunch time but not so good in the evening so we have decided that we will only do lunch time talks from now on.
As December is likely to be a busy month for everyone the next talk will not be until Janaury, we will then have 2 in February and the last one in March. I will send out the dates and details as soon as they are all arranged and I hope to see some of you there!

Guest Speakers
To keep the group active over the winter I would like to organise some guest speakers. Rather than hiring in speakers from outside I would like the guest speaker to be JBG members. Some of you have had interesting, amazing and educational experiences working with bats so I think it’s about time we heard about them!
If you would like to be a guest speaker please let me know and I will get the meetings organised – this is also something that I think we could open up to the general public so we are going to need to organise some advertising, so if you don’t want to speak but do have marketing skills then I want to hear from you too!
Cheers,
ani

Bat Group Christmas Party!
I think that we should have a group Christmas party as this would be an ideal opportunity for members new and old to get to know each other a little better in a more social setting than whilst staring up at the side of a building waiting for the bats to emerge!
Please post your ideas of what to do, when and where to hold the event as comments below!
